German Business Founder Award for Students
The German Business Founder Award for Students is the biggest business start-up competition for young people nationwide.
The competition entails the development of a business concept for a fictitious business start-up. The student teams make initial
contact with real entrepreneurs through practice-orientated tasks. Each team member takes on their own area of responsibility; this
promotes enjoyment of entrepreneurship, as well as independent thinking and action. Students enhance their qualities as team players
and leaders and demonstrate their ability to solve complex problems with enthusiasm and creativity over a period of four months. In
doing so, they gain experience that enables early professional orientation and qualification. The platform for this competition is the
internet.
The German Business Founder Award for Students is awarded to the best team in the business start-up competition. Young people from 16
years of age can take part. If the competition is successfully completed, they receive an individual jury feedback and a participation
certificate that they can include in later application portfolios. The ten best teams receive prize money worth a total of 6,000 Euro
and an invitation to the national award ceremony. The best team is awarded a prize in the student category of the German Business Founder
Award Ceremony, and its members given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business idea to the audience. A further highlight
for the top five teams is an invitation to the "Future Camp"- the personality coaching training session with exciting workshops and
outdoor activities that been developed with young people in mind.
