According to the jury Voigt has had an eventful year: Improved advertising turnover, fresh drive of the Verlagsgruppe NEWS' media and a substantial growth of the profits were attested to him. In future online will also be a huge issue, furthermore numerous publications are planned for the UEFA Euro 2008. The third place was reached by Christian Rainer, publisher and editor-in-chief of the magazines PROFIL and TREND. His last year was also pretty fast-paced with TREND-relaunch being successful and PROFIL being in the black.   ...more

In early December, at its annual convention and 30th anniversary gala, the association's judging panel named José Luis Samaranch, CEO of Motorpress-Ibérica and GPS, the joint venture between G+J and Motorpresse, as "Publisher of the Year."  ...more

The Prisma Presse magazines are thriving even during vacation time. The French G+J subsidiary´s titles, "Gala," "VSD," and "Voici," established new sales records for the summer months this year. The people magazine "Gala" reported an increase of five percent from July to mid-August in comparison with the previous year; "VSD" gained eight percent during this period, and "Voici" increased its sales by seven percent.   ...more
