Our eighteen-month trainee program offers you the opportunity to get a very comprehensive idea of how a publishing house works in a very short time. You will quickly develop a feel for journalistic performance and the economic necessities.
You can start at any time.

	ca. 3 - 4 months in the advertising department
	ca. 3 - 4 months in the sales department
	ca. 3 - 4 weeks in an editorial office
	ca. 6 - 8 weeks in the controlling department
	ca. 3 months at a branch abroad
	ca. 6 - 8 weeks in the publishing house management
	additional stations possible

The time you spend at each station depends on the projects and tasks you take on in the respective period. During the rotation you will get to know our day to day business, and will quickly be working independently on challenging projects.

As a trainee you will also participate in seminars on publishing-specific topics such as a magazine journalism seminar and the media workshop, as well as in training for personality development.

Your contact for the organization and execution of the program is personnel development department. The departmental managers of the individual sections will handle the supervision during your rotation.

After each stop on your training tour, the responsible supervisor in the department will conduct a feedback conference with you, and comment on aspects such as your motivation, readiness to take on responsibility, communication skills and conflict behavior.

Furthermore, each trainee has a management board member as their personal tutor.

	an excellent university diploma, preferably in economics
	experience in the media sector, ideally through several months of internships
	several months of work experience abroad through studies or internships
	extra-curricular activities
	an exceptional interest in magazines, newspapers and new media
	sure usage of German
	written and spoken English plus another foreign language
