Hamburg, 28 January 2007 –
Dr. Christoph Weger, 38, currently a Managing Director of the Financial Times Deutschland GmbH (FTD), will take on the management of G+J New Media Ventures GmbH, with effect from Mar 1, 2007. After that date, Christoph Rüth will manage the FTD as its sole Managing Director.
Franz Dillitzer, former Managing Director of G+J New Media Ventures, is leaving the company by mutual agreement. He had taken up his position on Jul 1, 2006.
Christoph Weger has been a member of the Financial Times Deutschland GmbH management since 2001. The economist began his career as a project manager at the Karlsruhe Research Center and a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2000, he joined Gruner + Jahr as assistant to the company´s CEO Bernd Kundrun. He joined the FTD in 2001 – first as Executive Director Electronic Media and later as Director Marketing. For the past two years, Christoph Weger has served as co-Managing Director of the FTD with Christoph Rüth. Weger played an essential role in the development and success of the FTD´s multimedia concept ("One Brand All Media").

The G+J New Media Ventures GmbH designs and facilitates G+J´s digital media strategy. It provides active supports and consultation to the publishing departments as they put the "Expand your brand" innovation program into practice.
