Hamburg, 28 August 2011 – First weekly title in the Brazilian automobile segment / CARRO HOJE in shops from 27 August 2011
Motor Presse Stuttgart is considerably extending its market presence in Brazil with the launch of CARRO HOJE, Brazil's first weekly car magazine. The CARRO HOJE concept is entirely new and unique in the Brazilian automobile periodicals market and centres primarily on benefits to consumers: each week the 84 pages of CARRO HOJE provide readers with a detailed, clear and comprehensible guide to the automobile market. On top of this, CARRO HOJE is the first car magazine in Brazil to offer its readers editorial content on used cars.
CARRO HOJE places as much value on its readers' experiences as on the results of its own tests. For this reason, both the magazine and its website, which has been launched alongside it, invite readers to enter into dialogue with the magazine's editorial team and to take part in discussions with the car community.
CARRO HOJE, which retails at 3.50 Brazilian Real (approx. EUR 1.50), is launching with an initial print run of over 50,000. Its principal target group comprises potential first-time car buyers from Brazil's newly emerging middle class.
Dr. Torsten-Jörn Klein, Gruner + Jahr Executive Board member responsible for international business: \"Brazil is up there with India and China as one of G+J's most important growth markets worldwide. With CARRO HOJE, we are taking the next logical step in our international growth strategy and strengthening our market position in Brazil substantially.\"
Dr. Maike Schlegel, managing director at Motor Presse International: \"Motor Press Brasil, with its seven magazines to date, is successfully established in the Brazilian market. CARRO HOJE is the logical next step for continued growth in our core segment. Brazil and Mexico, along with China, are Motor Presse International's growth markets.\"
